What Draper is built out of.

Draper has a genuine pioneer core — the fort site around 12300 South dates to 1854 — but almost everything you see now went up in the 1990s and 2000s, climbing Traverse Ridge toward Corner Canyon. Big square footage, unfinished basements that got finished later, and outbuildings on horse-property remnants that suburbanized around them.

Two things make this market distinct. The first is scale: a basement demo in a Draper house is often twice the volume of the same job in Taylorsville, which changes the haul, not just the labor. The second is grade. Building up the ridge means retaining walls, tiered decks, and walkout levels, and taking any of that apart is a structural problem before it's a hauling one.

What that means for the work.

Large basement demo
Finished basements in big houses — theater rooms, wet bars, framed-in storage. Volume is the variable.
Tiered decks and retaining structures
Sloped ridge lots with elevated and stepped construction. Sequencing matters.
Garage and outbuilding clearouts
Three-car garages, RV pads, and leftover horse-property structures.
